I have Hashimoto’s and type 2 diabetes. Right now my diabetes is in an acute phase of being high so all my energy is going toward that. I didn’t know it had gotten out of control, scary high. My A1C was 11. Two years ago I totally reversed my diabetes with lifestyle changes, diet and exercise. It’s back with a vengeance. In 7 weeks I’ve gotten it down to an average of 145. So it’s much improved. But I need to work on that and my Hashimoto’s. Do I follow your autoimmune protocol or something else?

Hello April, I sincerely apologize for not responding sooner. I never thought that I would have received so many emails and questions per phone, and on tiktoc comment section. You have already battled the DMII before so I won’t bore you with the imperative to have it under control. Diet should be quality protein choices and non-starchy vegetables. A calorie is not a calorie but is completely dependent on hormone response. There are a few different issues with Hashimoto’s compared to other autoimmune challenges. There is a direct link from the actual stomach to the thyroid where other autoimmune challenges are more related to the small intestine and colon. It is much easier for me to talk with you one on one than to respond in an email. Once I get a feel for your particular situation and make recommendations, then we can follow up with email. Please call the store at 985-370-0751. I am not there everyday as I still work fulltime at the hospital. Call and my sister or son will take a message and I will call you back the next day I am there. The call/consultation is free and you are absolutely under no obligation to buy anything. I love talking health and looking for non medical solutions that are individualized and have evidence based results.
Thanks for your inquiry,

I am a 61 yr old post menopausal woman having issues: according to bloodwork my calcium levels elevated and THC elevated. All other numbers are good. Blood pressure 120/85. No history of kidney stones. Still have my gallbladder. Take no prescriptions meds. Dr says nodules on parathyroid could be causing calcium to be high and physical symptoms . Says surgery to remove one or more of parathyroid glands is only way to correct. I prefer not.
Physical symptoms are: trouble losing weight, frequent loose stools, brittle nails, extreme debilitating fatigue, sinus headache often, trouble sleeping/staying asleep. I exercise moderately ie., walking 20-25 minutes per day and lifting light weights 2x’s per week. I drink 80+ounces of water, eat organic, relatively healthy, leafy greens, only whole grains (if any) quality proteins, but have yet to eliminate sugar (cravings!!). Sometimes I find it hard to get 1200 calories in a day. But I am still morbidly obese. 280lbs. I read the auto immune protocol and was going to try it. Do you think healing my gut will alleviate these symptoms and take care of root cause? Is there something I should add or subtract?
I am taking the following supplements, Zhou thyroid support with iodine, SuperiorLabs L-Theanine 250mg x’s 2, Nutricost 1,000mg L-Glycine, Vibrant Health Green Vibrance 2 scoops per day and have just added Double Wood Collagen Peptides 12g 1 x’s per day. New Chapter Magnesium/Ashwagandha at night. Thank you for your help.

Celia, thanks for reaching out to us. The parathyroid issue seems to be the culprit in most of your symptoms. My foundational recommendation does not change for any particular challenge. I would ask you to try (for 1 month) the barley life powder in place of the vibrant greens, Nordic Naturals Omega 3 and begin Aloe Life whole leaf aloe juice at 1 ounce three times a day. The barley although has fewer total ingredients, it is pure juice extract. The vibrant greens has a lot of ingredients but they are all at subtherapeutic doses. Kind of like taking 100mg Tylenol for a headache; you took the remedy but 550mg less than required to alleviate the pain. Instead of doing the gut protocol, your focus should be to try and eliminate the parathyroid nodules. My suggestion would be to try a systemic enzyme combo of Serrapeptase and nattokinase. Last would be oral and topical Frankincense. I do not have those online yet but are available per phone order. There are particular brands and dosages that we have used frequently in the past. Please call for more details as I can also ask you for particular details of your situation. (985)370-0751. Thanks again!

Hello, I’m 55 and was diagnosed 5 years ago with an autoimmune disease called Sjogren’s. At this time I do not take any type of medication for this and TRY my best to eat foods that best help me. My only issue is I cannot get my inflammation down! My C-Creatine protein is high. Any suggestions? and I’ll be honest, the last few months I have been carefree about dairy and gluten 🙁

Hello Rachel, thanks for your question. The autoimmune protocol is the place to start. We could start trying this and that but until we restore the microbiome and gut lining, all else is a waste of time and money. I say this adamantly only because you have already been diagnosed with Sjogren’s. The Curamed and fish oil from Nordic are excellent food grade anti-inflammatories. Even if you didn’t try the protocol, I would address the CRP with these two supplements first. Black seed oil is also highly touted for inflammation as well as Frankincense. Try the gut detox and restore, then we can see how you are doing and make further recommendations if needed.

I would like to thank you for all the knowledge that you have shared on TiK Tok. The information/resources given have helped me search and find the answers to questions I had. I know food heals but I didn’t know where to start with any of it. I didn’t know what supplements were the best quality not what to look for. Thank you for stepping out and making the videos.

Thank you Anna for your post, I truly appreciate your positive feedback. We have had the luxury of recommending supplements for the past 20 years and being able to get constant ongoing feedback in real time. The videos are based on thousands of interactions over the years. It is so difficult to put a 20 minute conversation in a 3 minute video; so I truly appreciate you taking the time to let me know they are helpful.

Hi there thanks for your video! I have Systemic Lupus and wanted to know if you think the autoimmune regimen would work for Lupus. It’s causing kidney issues, joint pain and fatigue. I’m on a ton of medication that I would love to get off of. Also I’ll add due to my chronic kidney issues my blood pressure is elevated. Thank you in advance for your time.

Hello Tiffany, thanks for the inquiry. I definitely would recommend starting with the autoimmune protocol. Lupus is such a difficult challenge, but I love a challenge. In my experience, most gut toxicities are going to be caused by one or a combination of four issues: yeast, parasites, heavy metals or viral issues. I would suggest just starting with the barley juice powder, nordic naturals omega 3 fish oil and Aloe Life aloe vera juice. Do these for minimally one month before starting the actual detox. We have to support the body before hitting a strong detox protocol. I would love to talk with you one on one to explain the rationale in depth. I need you to see what I see so to be fully engaged/empowered to heal your body. Give us a call at the store 985-370-0751. If I am not there, I will call you back. God Bless you!

Hi! Just found you on the ticky tock 😊 I’m watching all your videos. Diagnosed recently with Graves and Hyperthyroidism. Starting to really watch the gluten…will likely go dairy and sugar free as well. I’m mindful of all of these and eating clean. Been on metoprolol and methimazole for 2 months and and see improvement for sure. Would you suggest the autoimmune protocol outlined here? Thank you!

Mary, thanks for your question. Yes, I would definitely recommend the autoimmune protocol for you. Graves is a difficult challenge and beyond the autoimmune protocol I don’t have any other suggestions. Try it and please provide an update.

Hi!
First, I want to start by thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I had watch all your tik tok videos and I admire that you are sharing all your knowledge with people like me that can’t afford a natural doctor. I am currently have sjongren, Hashimoto, psoriasis arthritis, gout, diabetes, high blood pressure, overweighted, and high cholesterol. I am 46 and honestly I take more pills than my parents that are in their 70’s. I feel that all the meds I am current taking give me so many side effects that I am frustrated at the moment. Do you think that the autoimmune protocol will work for me? Thank you in advance for any advice that you can give me.

We have to start somewher
All journeys start with a first step. I want you to do the core protocol for one month: Barley juice powder once or twice daily, Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega 2 caps once daily and Aloe Life Aloe Vera juice one ounce 1-3 times daily. This will build a nutritional foundation to take the next step which is the autoimmune protocol. I plead with you to cut sugar, processed vegetable oils and processed grain out of the diet. You will make more progress in one month than a lifetime of pharmaceuticals.

Hello, I’m new to your videos& website- found you on TikTok. I’m 53, with diagnosed Hashimoto’s & slight NAFLD, have difficulty losing weight, hair loss, brittle nails & am very frustrated. I have found some relief having gone gluten free. I take Garden of Life Women 50 Wiser multi, 5000iu Vitamin D, 1250 Krill Oil, 125 Annatto Tocotrienols, 120 mg Magesium glycinate at night & 15 mcg Zinc, occasional turmeric capsules (Doterra).
Wondering if your recommended NaturesPlus Keto Living Sugar control might help? And, not sure if it’s safe to take the barley brass juice powder b/c of the gluten? I’d be so grateful for any suggestions you might have.
Thank you!

Hello Jennifer, thanks for your question. Natures Plus Keto would be a perfect place to start as if you have NAFLD; you have to lower your sugar intake and lower your insulin level. This product “should” decrease sugar cravings vis the chromium and lower insulin/blood sugar from the berberine and cinnamon. Remember to keep your sugar intake to less than 24 grams/6 teaspoons a day. Once you feel confident that those issues are resolving, then I would recommend the autoimmune protocol to assist with the Hashimoto’s thyroid challenge. All of your above mentioned symptoms are related directly to the low thyroid. You absolutely can do the barley as it is juiced from grass shoots and not mature grain; therefore it is completely gluten free. I would stop the garden of life, continue everything else you mentioned. I would also recommend if you decided to do the autoimmune protocol to switch to the Nordic Omega 3″s, I trust them over anything else to balance inflammation (including krill). Call us if you have any questions.

Hello, I’m new here. I’ve heard such good things about the products. I would love it if you could lead me in the direction of what I need for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I’m 34 years old and have been diagnosed since 2021. I’m currently taking infusions every 8 weeks but still having a lot of painful inflammation throughout my body. The inflammation has basically took over my life. Thank you for any help!

Hello Jenn, I too have RA (in remission with an occasional flare up). I do not take any pharmaceuticals except a week of prednisone back in 2014 before I was able to figure out how to tame the inflammation. The root cause of most autoimmune challenges is leaky gut. The cause of leaky gut is one of 3 driving factors: yeast, parasites or heavy metals or usually a combination of all three. The exact protocol is to begin with the core 3 supplements: Aim Barley Life, Nordic Omega 3’s and Aloe Life Aloe Vera. These supplements are taken daily (Aloe 3x /day) throughout the protocol. Phase !: Start taking Oil of Oregano 1 capsule three times a day or 4 drops twice daily for 20 days. You should notice a detox reaction if yeast is the culprit: skin rashes, severe sinus issues, vaginal yeast infection and feeling run down/fatigued but afebrile. This will last about a week then completely disappear. These reactions are the yeast exiting the body, kind of like sweeping sawdust out of a room- the air is full of the dust until it clears. If there is no reaction, then the likely culprit is parasites or heavy metals. I would then purchase the parasite detox bundle and a can of diamotaceous earth to detox the parasites and metals. Follow the instuctions on the bundle and start slow on the DE (1 tsp.daily working up to 1 Tbsp./daily). Drink plenty of water (minimally half your body weight in ounces daily).Phase 2: Up 4 probiotics-1 daily at bedtime, L-Glutamine 5grams daily on an empty stomach, Nature’s Sunshine Intestinal Soothe and Build per label, Curamed by Terry’s Naturally 750mg daily and at least 2000 units of Vitamin D daily with food. Continue phase 2 ubtil symptom’s abate, usually 2-3 months. This has worked with 90% of all our in store clients since 2014.
I have also been researching a new product called Hyper Ig to take the place of most of the phase 2 supplements but have not had enough time to verify the results. I will be updating the protocol to hopefully simplify it as soon as the end of July. Please call the store for more information, we will be happy to discuss the rationales further. 985-370-0751 or 985-662-4233.

Hello, I’m so grateful to have found your TikTok channel and site! In 2021 I was hospitalized with a severe case of Covid and it almost killed me. After a very long recovery, life seemed to get better, until I started having all sorts of symptoms, especially auto immune symptoms. Luckily I have wonderful GP and Rheumatologist, but no specific diagnosis yet other than the myriad of things that come with severe post viral syndrome, and guesses at the auto immune condition I now seem to have. I was hoping I could try this protocol, and get ahead of whatever is happening, or at least help with the intense inflammation. Would this be a bad idea for any reason? I’m reading a lot of studies suggesting that all these post viral issues that Covid is triggering seem to be originating in the gut. Hopefully this protocol could help?

Liz, I am so sorry for the late reply. I would think that the autoimmune protocol would help. I would also do some research on the systemic enzyme called Nattokinase. It has some hope for helping with long covid. Call the store for more information. 985-370-0751
