The Saliva pH test serves as a valuable gauge for assessing the abundance of alkaline minerals stored in the body’s tissues. These essential minerals, including calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, and various trace elements, act as a reserve to counteract oral acidity. Swift mobilization of these alkaline minerals to the mouth helps neutralize acids, preventing the infiltration of harmful bacteria, viruses, and yeast. The maintenance of slightly alkaline body fluids, around a pH of 7.4, becomes crucial for resisting disease development, including necrotic tissue.

For optimal accuracy, it is recommended to observe a two-hour fasting period before conducting the test. Multiple testings enhance the comprehensive understanding of the body’s mineral reserves.

To perform the test, cut a 1″ strip of pH test paper, place it on the tongue to collect saliva, and record the pH by comparing the paper color with the chart. Introduce fresh lemon juice into the mouth, wait two minutes, repeat the test, and compare the initial and subsequent pH readings. A higher second reading indicates a sufficient alkaline mineral reserve, while an equal reading signifies a deficient state, compromising defense against diseases and pathogens.

The body’s alkaline mineral reserve is directly influenced by the dietary intake of alkaline and acid-forming foods. A prevalence of acid-forming foods depletes the mineral reserve. Moreover, mental, emotional, and physical stresses exert a more substantial depleting effect than dietary choices. In essence, dietary habits, emotions, and thoughts collectively shape one’s overall well-being.

80% Alkaline Forming Foods

All raw fruits, including tomato and avocado. Exceptions: blueberries, cranberries, plums, prunes, and sulfured dried fruits

All raw, unpasteurized juices

All vegetables raw or cooked, including greens, sprouts, and sea vegetables.

Almonds, chestnuts, and raw coconut.

All grains, nuts, and seeds that are sprouted.

Apple cider vinegar (raw, unpasteurized)

Egg yolks

Herbs and herbal teas

Raw honey

Miso, tempeh, and tofu

Buttermilk, live cultures

Milk, raw, unpasteurized

Whey

Yogurt, plain with live cultures

Sea salt

Lemons and watermelons are the most alkaline-forming foods.

20% Acid forming foods

All grains, except amaranth, millet, quinoa, and fresh corn

All dried beans and peas (Exceptions: limas, adzuki and soy)

All meat, poultry, fish and seafood

All refined sugar. (Adding sugar to food increases its acidity)

Alcoholic and soft drinks

Coffee

Black tea

Egg whites

Vinegar (white, distilled)

Tobacco

Most bottled salad dressings

Peanut butter

Seeds and most nuts

Black/white pepper

Pasteurized milk, cream, and cheese

Breads that are made with sprouted grains are less acidic than breads from flour

Artificial sweeteners and colas are the most acid-forming foods.

Upholding proper body chemistry involves maintaining a recommended dietary ratio of 80% alkaline-forming to 20% acid-forming. This balance ensures an ample alkaline mineral reserve, containing calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, and trace minerals that regulate food pH. Acidic toxins deplete these reserves stored in various body tissues, impairing biological efficiency and challenging overall wellness.

Stressful emotions, such as unresolved anger, fear, and worry, elevate acid-forming toxins within the body. Alternatively, the emotions of love, kindness, empathy, and joy create an alkaline environment in the body tissue.

You are more than a biochemical process, healing encompasses the body, mind, soul, and spirit.
